**Newborn Showcase** Beautiful Berkley

There has to be something said about a little person that is so fresh and new. My kiddos are big now so I enjoy those newborns when they come in for their first portraits…getting to cuddle, snuggle and smell the top of their little downy heads. I had recently added some new props to the studio and had new poses I wanted to try…but needed a model. After meeting Dana and her family and hearing about their upcoming arrival, I had found my model. Miss Berkley entered the world in November and came in for her first portraits and model shoot when she was only 12 days old. I love it best when my newborns are perfectly sleepy….Miss Berkley had other plans. So I got great shots of bright eyes instead and after Mom and I worked for what seemed like forever, we finally got her to sleep. The resulting images…well, I will let you see for yourself.
Simply a little slice of heaven….
I have the same “baby” box in blue and brown poka-dot. Anyone got a little boy?

So who says you can’t be and feel beautiful when your pregnant? Dana was expecting her second child - a baby girl - and she decided she had to have portraits to document that gorgeous baby belly. I’m glad she did as this was one of the funnest (is that a word?) sessions I have done in a while. Dad even braved it (or got drug along) and joined the fun. I LOVED the pink wrap and red dress she brought with her. We even managed to wrangle 2 year old Boston for shot of the family together. Thanks for a great session Dana!
**Maternity sessions are best done at around 36 weeks of pregnancy. Your belly is nice and big but it’s not so close to the end that we risk missing the session because of an early delivery and you are not as dog tired as you will be in the last days. You can show as much skin as you want to and can include special items from home. oh, and stretch marks can be edited out :)**

The home of the Panthers must be pretty proud to have this gorgeous girl in their student body. I first met Ellen’s family a couple years ago when they traveled up from Cortez for a family session and senior portraits for Ellen’s older brother Zayne. I was excited when Katie, Ellen’s mom, called me again with her new senior. This session took place the beginning of August when things were still beautiful and green. We got to try some new locations and include some personal items of Ellen’s that meant alot to her. Thanks Ellen for a ton of fun that day and I hope you have a great senior year!

I submitted two of my recent favorites for judging at the 2011 Moffat County Fair and I was delighted that both of them received Grand Champion honors.

Sweet Baby Layla

This little angel is Layla and she is only 15 days old in these images. Her portraits have already come in and while I am packaging them for Mom, I am falling in love with the images all over again. I thought I would post my favorites here and share them with all of you. She was such a great baby on session day - all curly and sleepy. Thanks Mom for sharing Layla with me! I am super excited that you chose to become a Milestones member because now I get to photograph Layla two more times during this next year and really get to watch her grow!
Little Beauty

This little sweetheart came to visit me recently and what fun we had! Miss Blake is 5 months old and not totally sitting on her own yet but Mom and I were so excited when we were able to get her to sit “tripod” style several times. She had the sweetest, softest expressions during our session and I absolutely ADORE the shot in the creamy knit hat. Look at that pout!

Well here it is finally - wheh! It’s not completely done but it’s up and running and I will continue to tweek things in the weeks ahead.
